What is Yoga Therapy?
A blend of Western understandings of anatomy, physiology and mind-body psychology with ancient Eastern Yogic practices, such as breath work, postures, and meditation, Yoga Therapy recognizes the interconnectedness of your emotions, thoughts and body. Derived from the Yoga tradition and the sister-system of health care Ayurveda, Yoga Therapy is the curated process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being. Yoga therapy can help individuals restore balance by offering body-based, fun management tools with mindfulness, which facilitates a wholistic, healing through the application of the teachings and practices of Yoga.
Yoga translates to “Unite". The practice of Yoga is considered that which brings together and unites the mind, body, heart and spirit.

Miss Nikki is a certified trauma informed yoga therapist and kid's yoga instructor with15 years experience as a nanny, and finds absolute joy in sharing the charms and energy of yoga with children and grown-ups alike.
A firm believer that every one is a whole person and has the capacity to find balance, allowing their beautifully distinctive inner light to shine, her aim is to make the world a better place by spreading light and love through the explorations of yoga.
Encouraging compassion and promoting inclusion, Nikki creates an adaptive and dynamic class where kids and grown-ups are given the opportunity to imagine, create, and explore their self-expression through play, mindful movement and creativity.

Private One-on-One Sessions
A one-on-one session includes a client intake, a physical assessment, movement, stillness (savasana) and a closing that tends to your empowerment. The Integrated Systems Model (ISM) Trauma informed, Yoga Therapy is a wholistic approach to healing and focuses on determining the root cause of your concern. Merging Western understandings of anatomy, physiology and mind-body psychology with ancient Eastern Yogic practices, such as breath work, postures, and meditation, this human centered modality recognizes the interconnectedness of your emotions, thoughts and body. Programs are personally curated to empower you with body-based tools necessary to start and continue your unique healing journey at home. Your journey is based on your readiness and commitment to the practice. A minimum of 4 1:1 sessions is recommended, though not required and no previous yoga experience is needed.

Kindness, Movement & Play
Every child has the capacity to find balance, allowing their beautifully distinctive inner light to shine. Structured similar to a grown-up session and offer a yoga nanny like experience. Through the explorations of yoga, kids are given the opportunity to imagine, create, and explore their self-expression through kindness, mindful movement and play. Kid's yoga therapy sessions create opportunities for you to take some well deserved "me-time", as well as hold opportunities for you to join us for some interactive play with your kid(s).
